Position Overview:

S/he identify various rural communities information and training needs, building the multi-stakeholder partnership address the information and training needs through various technological based interactive and broadcast platforms, analysing and document the programme impact, periodically evaluate the programme and do the midcourse corrections to take the programme in the next level.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To identify the potential locations or same set of information seekers
  • To introduce and explain the concept and proposed activities to multi-stakeholders
  • To collect and analyse the secondary data about the livelihood pattern, villages, sub-districts, population (gender aggregation and livelihood wise), grassroots associations, etc. to identify the potential locations for programme implementation
  • To conduct need assessment different stakeholders based on secondary data to find out / cross check on information and training needs based on ground reality
  • To map and build the network with various stakeholders based on content needs and training needs
  • To identify the suitable dissemination technologies relevant to local eco-systems
  • To disseminate information and conduct training programmes based on needs using different communication platforms (mobile application, local cable TVs, Radio, Newspaper, advisories / demonstrations at field)
  • To contact periodically to the same set of livelihood information seekers locations and find out the usage pattern of programme advisories and document dynamic information and training needs
  • To provide capacity building to knowledge providers to share the critical and social messages into the common technological platform to reach rural communities and build the capacity of rural communities for effective utilization of value added advisories
  • To build result based networking and partnership with knowledge providers and regularly sending reports to them on reach and usage of their information source
  • To take steps periodically to increase customers with need based information and training services
  • To submit monthly/ quarterly/annual reports to various partners as and if required
  • To identify programme based vendors such as dissemination modes / channels, programme supporters, resource persons for programme support and content audit, transcription, video and audio editing, production and design of information dissemination, data collection and database management
  • To sensitize the vendors periodically about the programme expectations and bring uniform understanding between programme and vendor activities
  • To learn and share various programme implementation strategies and materials to fellow-team members
  • To support based on requirements and critical times to fellow-team members
  • To prepare broad yearly / half yearly / quarterly and micro-level weekly programme plan for month
  • To submit various programme and individual activities reports
  • To document all the dissemination content and repository of all the programme materials
  • To document the outputs of each programme and daily activities, analyse the effectiveness of programme dissemination modes and effectiveness of information usage
  • To collect the periodical feedbacks / case studies / testimonials from customers to refine the programme periodically
  • To have monthly programme accountability meeting with the parameters of learning from multi-stakeholders, co-workers, programme plan vs actual programme implementation, reasons for variance, needs areas to be supported or guidance
  • To develop strategy for increasing the visibility of the programme activities across the assigned programme region

Educational Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post Graduate Degree in Social Work or Development Administration or Extension
  • Minimum of 3+ years of Development Sector experience
  • Experience of implementing multi-stakeholder programmes at ground
  • Comfortable with Laptop / Android Mobile / Daily Documentation / Virtual Office Environment
  • Equal comfort of working with the grassroots community, government official’s researchers and doctors
  • Event / Programme / Exhibition / Mela Planning and Management skills
  • Desired skill to anchor programmes on local Cable TV / Radio

Key Competencies:

  • Good Knowledge of State specific vernacular Language and English would be desirable
  • Good development issues analytical skill and overcome the problems with solutions
  • Ability to be highly organized in order to manage and prioritise workload and take decisions dynamically
  • Ability to coordinate and work with multi-stakeholders
