Reliance has won the SHRM India HR Excellence Awards 2021 for “Excellence in Community Impact," announced during the annual SHRM India conference on December 2, 2021.

This award acknowledges the enduring impact Reliance Industries has made in society by addressing some of the key development challenges facing India with innovative and sustainable solutions.

Further, this award was conferred in recognition of the various philanthropic efforts spearheaded by Reliance Foundation. Reliance Foundation actively collaborates with social impact organisations, private and government stakeholders to bring about lasting change across different sectors and regions in India. Since 2010, the foundation has impacted over 5.5+ Crore people(internal link to About Us page) across all segments of the population.

The SHRM citation for the Award states: “With organizations striving to strike a balance between sustainable economic growth & initiatives that create a higher societal value amongst their community, the Excellence in Community Impact category recognizes organizations that have been successful in striking this balance."

Tech Mahindra Limited also won the award in the same category.

The SHRM HR Excellence Awards were instituted to recognize contributions of organisations that focus on delivering excellence in the field of people management. Organisations that prioritize people while working towards achievement of their business outcomes are recognized during these awards. These awards are conducted on an annual basis and focus on the new initiatives and enhancements that have taken place in the HR space within an organisation.
