Position Overview:

S/he to identify various seasonal based major crops across the state. S/he should design and develop contents for all the major crops for the dissemination of advisories through different mode of information sharing technology. Partner with multi-stakeholders to design & develop result oriented interactive and broadcast programmes based on needs in the area of Agriculture and allied activities. S/he should be able validate and refine content dissemination documentations for all the major crops and should be able to develop strategic partnership with various agriculture universities and other development agencies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• To design and develop season based major crops advisories and training calendar for the State
• To develop and monitor the dissemination advisories through different modes such as mobile applications, print and electronic media (cable TV, Radio, Newspaper)
• To design and facilitate result oriented interactive and broadcast programmes based on needs in the area of Agriculture and Allied Services
• To validate and refine the content dissemination documentation
• To develop topics, questions and answers for knowledge debates / sharing and knowledge quiz
• To provide necessary support, document and validate the case studies of peoples who empowered through knowledge services
• To prepare questions for knowledge quiz which will be conducted in target audiences based on dissemination of advisories
• To develop video modules for awareness and increase the skill set towards best practices
• To provide necessary answers and clarifications to the callers / target audiences through RF Toll Free Help Line Number
• To visit different field locations and contact periodically to the same set of livelihood information seekers and find out the usage pattern of programme advisories and document dynamic information and training needs
• To learn and share various thematic programme design and implementation strategies and materials
• To provide necessary inputs to develop season / need based information dissemination plan and result orient programme plan
• To support based on requirements and critical times
• To compile and validate all the programme booklets and help line booklets with the support of appropriate resource persons
• To submit the analytical report on the list of needs (both primary and secondary data) vs list of programmes organized and suggesting programme themes and topics for future programmes
• To develop image based advisories content database
• To develop thematic wise need assessment templates
• To do the content with the knowledge providers and package season / crop wise reusable content
• To develop monthly accountability meeting reports based on targets, achievements and results
• To build the capacity of knowledge providers to aggregate the locale-specific content in digital format
• To sensitize the vendors periodically about the programme expectations and bring uniform understanding between programme and vendor activities

Educational Qualifications and Experience:

• Post Graduate Degree in Agriculture or Agriculture Extension
• Minimum of 5+ years of Development Sector field experience
• Experience of implementing multi-stakeholder programmes at ground
• Conduct thematic based awareness or demonstrations at ground
• Comfortable with Laptop / Android Mobile / Daily Documentation / Virtual Office Environment
• Equal comfort of working with the grassroots community, government official’s researchers and doctors
• Event / Programme / Exhibition / Mela Planning and Management skills
• Analytical skill
• Develop indicators for measurement of programme performance

Key Competencies:

• Good Knowledge of State specific vernacular Language and English would be desirable
• Good Knowledge of different areas of agriculture and allied services
• Good development issues analytical skill and overcome the problems with solutions
• Ability to be highly organized in order to manage and prioritise workload and take decisions dynamically
• Ability to coordinate and work with multi-stakeholders
• Effective thematic based programme management
