As progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) slows and the global operating environment grows more complex — shaped by geopolitical fragmentation, conflict, climate change, economic uncertainty, and technological disruption — the limits of traditional models of aid and international cooperation are being exposed. 

At the same time, artificial intelligence is emerging as a foundational layer of development, with the potential to transform healthcare, education, agriculture, public services, and economic opportunity, provided the right investments in energy, digital connectivity, compute, data, and human capital are made.

This session examines how AI, climate action, and innovative partnerships can redefine the global development agenda. It explores how governments, businesses, philanthropy, and multilateral institutions can forge a new development compact to strengthen resilience, accelerate progress towards the SDGs, and deliver sustainable and inclusive growth for the next seven billion people.
