Post Disaster Monitoring and Assessment for Reliance’s Punjab Flood Relief 2025

  • 2 min read

Severe monsoon floods submerged villages across Punjab in August–September 2025, disrupting homes, livestock, water systems, and public health services. Reliance Foundation responded with an integrated relief effort by providing cattle feed and veterinary care, restoring safe water and sanitation, and supporting households with shelter, hygiene essentials, food supplies, and vouchers.

Immediately after the floods, an impact assessment of Reliance Foundation’s response intervention was carried out by neutral agencies WeGovernance and RedR India to understand the delivery quality, inclusiveness, technical performance, and relief outcomes.

Impact ratings were measured across 22 indicators under four key parameters:

  • Core Humanitarian Standards
  • Technical Performance
  • Inclusiveness
  • Immediate Outcomes

This report presents the findings from the impact assessment study of Reliance Foundation’s response to the Punjab floods. The findings will be valuable for humanitarian organisations, practitioners, and other stakeholders involved in disaster response planning and implementation.
